  • Rosefield Group are planning to roll out this concept across the south -east of England over the next few years. Our pilot project in Surrey is about to go on site.
  • All our properties will be for sale to over-55s  -  not necessarily yet retired
  • Rosefield Group have a simple proposition for owners of large houses with the downsizers' dilemma who wish to carry on living in their village or suburban community.
  • We buy your house and garden and then build large apartments in  two storey house-like buildings at relatively low density in a high quality bespoke development at your convenience. You get first pick of the new apartments.
  • Residents own their share of freehold, so there are no hidden service charges controlled by others
  • By phasing construction, we build some of the new apartments in the garden so you get to watch (and customise) the construction of your own apartment before moving straight in, before leaving your existing house if the site development allows for this.

Rosefield's first project is four downsizer units in the centre of the desirable Surrey Village of Rowledge.

Using traditional materials such as brick, stone, slate and clay-tiles, these are two storey buildings with one large flat on each floor,  similar in size to neighbouring houses and at low density.

Contemporary details include

  • full-height windows with aluminium exterior for toughness and wood interior for warmth
  • well-equipped kitchens with induction hobs and a breakfast bar/counter
  • power-shower and bath
  • engineered oak flooring

All the flats will meet the Lifetime Homes Standard, a set of 16 design criteria that provide a model for building accessible and adaptable homes.

The highest possible architectural quality is maintained throughout a project by the use of simple and elegant design concepts that can withstand the rigours of modern day planning and construction.

Jim Duffy - Design and Procurement

Jim is a Chartered Architect  with over 30 years designing and building high-quality residential  developments at all scales from  large mixed-use master-plans, with over 1000 units, down to one-off houses. This includes his own multi-award winning house in Farnham over-looking the Surrey Hills. His particular strength is not just producing beautiful buildings but having a real feel for creating truly liveable spaces.  The skill in having empathy for how to make  spaces work around everyday activities in a very satisfying way.

Brent Taggart - Finance and Operations

Seasoned C-level executive, Brent has been the FD for a $250M pan-European business unit, Head of Strategy and Planning through two IPOs (Equant 1998, Promethean World 2010), a PWC management consultant, and most recently interim COO for a €20M run-rate EdTech company growing at 60% pa. Hugh and Jim designed and managed his house build (2014/15).
